Tennessee, Sounds Good To Me

Well, we made it. The flight was pretty uneventful. Destin took his usual nap for half of the trip. He was a little more fussy this time during take off and landing, but nothing too bad.

The D-man had a little bit of an adjustment period at Gran and Pop Pop's. He had to get his barrings before he was truly comfortable, but he seems to have found his groove here.

Destin has definitely had us laughing a lot. He was playing with a metal trash can today; one where he could somewhat see his reflection. He would hit the side of it and then stick his nose and tongue right on the can like he was giving himself a big wet kiss. Then, he would back up and giggle, and do it again. We were rolling.

Pop Pop and he were crawling all around the house and talking to each other. Destin would turn around from time to time to make sure Pop Pop was still following him. They had fun.

Tomorrow we are going to see Santa. We are hoping that we will be able to get there early enough to get a good place in line, but that may be a lost cause.

I'll keep you posted...

Nice, Busy Weekend

We survived the weekend. We had a great time on Friday night at the office party. Kozub and Melissa's party was fun as well. It was good to get out. On Sunday, Destin got an early visit from Santa. He made out with a great loot; his favorite being his Leap Frog Alphabet Pal, a purple caterpillar.

It's hard to believe that we have less then a week before we head to Tennessee for the holidays. And those days are going to go fast. Tomorrow night we are going over to Jann's place to hang with his sister, Lindsay and him.

We had the opportunity to help a family out this Christmas season. We sent out an email to a few people who we thought would be willing to help out. With what we have right now, this family is going to have a wonderful Christmas. And there is still more to come! Sheri is going be "Mrs. Claus" on Wednesday.

I am sort of bummed that I have to miss it; I have to go to New York for business. There are worse places to be...:)

And before we know it, we'll be in NashVegas....whew!

Food Fight!

Destin tried to start his first food fight today. He knocked his oatmeal across the table and it hit Austin. Luckily Austin didn't retaliate. Sheri and Kim could have been covered!

Kristin (BK) came over tonight to give the D-man his Christmas gift. It's a really cool book that plays music and other sounds. We were going to try to do a "mini" Santa visit this evening, but Destin fell asleep. His buddy Karter is coming over tomorrow to hang out and exchange even more Christmas gifts.

It's a shame the pea packer isn't going to have a nice Christmas...:-)

By the way, I did get some nice stocking stuffers tonight, so it looks like Destin's Daddy isn't going to have a bad Christmas either!

Early Night

Well, Destin is fed and we took our little walk before bed that he and I do every night.

Now, I have some extra time to write on the site, and I don't have that much to say! Becky didn't come over this week because her family is travelling to Michigan.

Sheri said that the D-man tried to pull himself up on his swing. He used "Henry" (his walker/rider toy) as a step up to the swing and started shaking the bars. He's been doing a lot of this type of thing lately. One of these days, he's going to be standing in his crib when we go to get him in the morning.

Tomorrow Sheri and he are going to lunch Austin and Kim. It should be a good time.

I guess I some things to say afterall!

Fast December

5 days into December and no post? What am I thinking?

It's been a busy few days. Work has been fairly outrageous, but that will happen.

Sheri had a hen night last night with Kristin(MK), Kristin(BK), and Michelle. They were going to try to go the the Gary Allan concert, but it was sold out. So the group hit a bar called Hiccups; a local joint that seems pretty cool.

The pea packer and I bached it for the night. It was a good time. Pretty much just hanging out and playing. Guys night in.

The week coming up is going to go pretty fast. We have the normal schedule plus DoubleClick's Christmas Party on Friday; Kozub and Melissa's party on Saturday; and a Christmas celebration with Grandma and Grandpa Stackpole on Sunday.

Whew! I'm just hoping I can get some chill time in during the holidays. Santa, can you put that on my list?
