Whoa...

No one told me that when you buy a house your schedule fills up as fast as wild fire. I guess it's all good work though; it is all for the 3 of us.

We've been painting, cleaning, setting up, repairing, changing, upgrading, and moving for the entire month of October. Hence the reason I posted once at the beginning of the month and now once towards the end.

The initial mad rush of "home improvements" is slowly coming to an end. I am hoping that my schedule will free up soon. However, I'm sure we will find a secondary set of improvements to fill our time with.

All in all, we are doing well. Tonight is the first night Destin will spend in his new room. We were doing a lot of changes in his room. He's been crashing in our room for a couple weeks. It was good to get him in there tonight. I think he was ready.

We are getting geared up for Halloween. We have heard rumors around the neighborhood that there are a lot of trick-or-treaters about. We are planning to take Destin out around the block. We have been a little torn on how he is going to dress up, but we'll get it figured before Tuesday. Then, we'll have to high tail it back to the home front to appease the masses with sugary treats.

New Chores

The three of us have been busy with chores for the new house. I have been painting; Sheri and Nancy/Grandma have been pulling down wallpaper; and Destin continued getting his bearings in the new digs.

I'm not sure I like the inherited chores with the house. :) They aren't too bad actually, and we have it a lot better than some houses. It's been fun so far; but I am seeing how your schedule can fill up REALLY quick.

Destin will have a vacation from all his therapies this coming week. He will still go to school, which will probably be the most sane place for him! We are going to be in shambles for the next couple weeks, but I'm hoping to keep everyone updated on our move and other happenings.
