New Beginnings

After 3+ years at Abacus/DoubleClick I have decided that it is time to move on. I will be starting a new position at a new company (Merkle Interactive) tomorrow. I had a great run at Abacus and I look back on my time there with a lot of pride, but I am also excited about this new opportunity.

I was able to take some time off between gigs, so Sheri, Destin, and I were able to hang. We did a few things around the house; visited the Denver Aquarium; ate at White Fence Farm with some friends; and vegged out. It was nice.

Spring has been a welcome change for us. We can't keep Destin inside; the boy loves to be outside. Sometimes he rolls right out of the rack in the morning and makes a B-line for the door to our deck.

The yard work has started for Sheri and I (mainly Sheri though). Since she can't help with the inside remodeling, she said she'd take on the yard work (WOO HOO!!). I believe we've bought 32 bags of bark mulch for our landscaping; we have been frequenting the Garden Centers. The yard looks great though; Sheri is doing a good job!

We are off to Chicago this coming weekend for the final memorial and burial of my grandmother; Destin's great grandmother, Lila Larsen. It will be good to celebrate her life with the extended family.

That's all I have for tonight; talk to you soon!

Lila Larsen

Destin lost his great grandmother Lila today; she has ended her long battle with Alzheimer's. It is tough to take, but we are happy that she is finally at peace.

We will always have a glimpse of her as her great grandson has her blue eyes.

My folks are still working out the arrangements. I will update the site with information when I have it.

Rest In Peace, Grandma.
